A PCI is a kind of module that can be added to a compatible platform that respects PCI and QTI international standards.
It is now current to use on your phone the speech recognition. For example the artificial intelligence engine of Google is quite efficient in that domain. Of course, sometimes a noise, or a mis pronunciation can disturb the recognition. But in good conditions, you can do a lot. The today accuracy level make the speech recognition fully functional and usable in new areas as digital assessment.
This PCI is a proof of concept. It shows that a new family of interaction is now available in the digital assessment world. For example, the simple choice interaction could easily be replaced by voice recognition, the student would just have to say his choice rather than tick the box!
